All they had to do was ask.

“Number one, it was all declassified. Number two, they didn’t need to “seize” anything. They could have had it anytime they wanted without playing politics and breaking into Mar-a-Lago. It was in secured storage, with an additional lock put on as per their request.
They could have had it anytime they wanted — and that includes LONG ago. ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS ASK.”

Of course, they did ask.
And they subpoenaed.
You ignored them.
And finally, they executed a warrant under the Espionage Act, among others.
They did not say, “Pretty please!”
They did not say, “Simon says!”
And you, Donald, did not have the right to regard any of it as your own property, classification level irrelevant.
And when they cite the Espionage Act, they have reason to believe not just that you were illegally in possession of national security documents, but that you were either intent on passing that information to foreign interests — or unconcerned if it fell into the wrong hands.
Go away. Pretty please.
Say, for 10 to 15 years?
